Finally, a new tutor series will be sponsored by TAMU AIAS. This will offer students the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to excel in 2D computer-aided drafting, 3D modeling, graphic design, and project presentation that will be of the utmost importance during each members’ academic and professional career.

Freedom by Design meeting TONIGHT

AIAS will be meeting tonight at 6:30 pm in the lobby outside of Geren auditorium to complete a Freedom by Design project.  Bring your friends and studio mates to spend a little while being creative for a good cause!

Feb 9: Global AIAS meeting

Join us for a “global” AIAS meeting on Wednesday, February 9, at 6:30 pm in ARC C307.  We’ll hear several students speak about international work and studies outside of study abroad.  In addition to listening to these awesome global architecture experiences, you’ll get to chow down on a delicious dinner.  A fun night will certainly be had!

In the meantime, here are a few important reminders to mull over:

  • Career Fair is THIS WEEK.  Stroll through Langford A on Thursday and Friday to meet and mingle with 20+ architecture firms.  If you’re interested in a job or internship, come by on Thursday to set up interviews.
  • Spring AIAS registration is in swing! Come to the meeting to get a membership form or print it out here and turn it in at the meeting.  Email tamuaias@gmail.com if you have any questions about membership.
  • College of Architecture t-shirt sales are beginning again.  Look for us (and our box of cool t-shirts) on the first floor of Langford A at lunchtime Monday-Thursday.

Need a job or an internship?

Want interview practice?

Looking to mingle with big name firms?

Maybe it’s February 3rd, and you’re wondering just what is going on in Langford A.

AIAS is proud to host our annual Career Fair on February 3-4, from 9-5 pm on the 2nd floor of Langford A.  A variety of architecture firms will be in-house to conduct short interviews and talk to participants.  If you are interested in interviewing for a job or an internship, we recommend that you submit your resume to AIAS by January 21st.  It will be sent out to firms prior to Career Fair, in order to give them an opportunity to contact you individually for an interview.  Resumes are not required, and if you miss the deadline, don’t worry.  As long as you are current architecture student (including ENDS, M. Arch, and Phd students), then you can just show up and participate at Career Fair on Feb 3.

Also, we are still accepting firm registrations!  If you are an architecture firm interested in participating in Career Fair, please direct your emails to tamu.aiascareerfair@gmail.com.

Get more information here.
